OAN’s Daniel Baldwin sits down with CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz in Dallas for a wide-ranging interview on the Trump administration’s healthcare agenda.
Oz discusses the administration’s pharmaceutical pricing agreements and efforts to lower prescription drug costs, including the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, which provides eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries access to certain GLP-1 medications for a $50 monthly copay. CMS says the demonstration runs through December 31, 2027.
The interview also covers the administration’s plan to provide $500 refunds to eligible Affordable Care Act enrollees, efforts to combat Medicare and Medicaid fraud, and Oz’s argument that Congress should codify the administration’s drug pricing agreements so they continue beyond the current administration.
Oz also discusses efforts to address healthcare costs and reflects on Charlie Kirk one year after his assassination.
