An arrest has been made in the investigation into who placed pipe bombs at the U.S. Capitol the night before the Jan. 6, 2021, riots, federal authorities announced Thursday. Alleged pipe bomber Brian Cole Jr. was charged Thursday with two counts of possessing an explosive device, one count of transportation of interstate commerce with intent to kill and malicious instruction.
